Egyptian duo Beshir Al-Tabie and Ibrahim Saied were sent-off as Rizespor were held to a 1-1 away draw by Erciyesspor in the Turkish Super Lig on Saturday. Erciyesspor's Bulgarian midfielder Zdravko Lazarov put the hosts ahead in the 28th minute before Hassan Ugur grabbed the equalizer one minute from time. Al-Tabie, who has reportedly agreed on a switch to his former club Zamalek, received his marching orders in the 73rd minute for a second bookable offense. Ahli target Saied followed him on the sidelines five minutes before the final whistle after receiving a straight red card. Rizespor moved to the 14th place in the league table with 36 points while Erciyesspor lie second from bottom on 33 points.
Saied also received his first red card of the season Elsewhere, Konyaspor, whom Abdul-Zaher Al-Saqqa and Mohamed Abdullah play for, registered a 2-1 home victory over Genclerbirligi. Isaac Promise stunned the home crowd six minutes past the hour mark but Cedric Sabin leveled the score for Konyaspor eight minutes later. Joao Neca sealed the precious win in the first minute of stoppage time. Al-Saqqa played the whole match while former Ahli right-back Mohamed Abdullah was substituted midway through the second-half. Konyaspor maintained their UEFA Cup hopes as they lie seventh in the table with 42 points.
