FC Barcelona have announced the launching of an Arabic version of their official club website. The Catalan giants made the announcement at a press conference in Cairo on Tuesday morning to coincide with the exhibition game between Barcelona and Ahli in the latter's centennial celebrations. “The Arabic version will be a mirror image of the main page which is in Catalan,” said Barcelona vice-president Alfons Godall. The Arabic version is expected to be online within two months. Barcelona's website already supports an English and Japanese version. Barca's marketing and media director Esteve Calzada hailed this step as a strong bond between the Catalan club and this part of the world. “It will be our gate to the Arab world, and will make it easier to plan more events in the region,” said Calzada.
