Four Saudi players have tested positive for banned substances, Al-Riyadh newspaper reported on Wednesday. The Saudi medical anti-doping committee received a notification with the news from the Tunisia international anti-doping lab, the paper said. Only the serial numbers of the players involved were released but not their names. It is believed that the anti-doping lab in Tunisia has sent a report to FIFA informing them of the situation in accordance with the protocol. According to the International Anti-doping Agency regulations, FIFA should be informed with such doping cases immediately after notifying the local federation, so that FIFA could later assess the action taken by the local federation against all involved personnel.
