Portuguese winger Luis Figo insisted that his decision to join Saudi club Ittihad Jeddah at the end of the season is not yet final. "I'm waiting to see if I go (to Ittihad) or not," Figo was quoted as saying by Sky Sports. "Any decision has to be taken carefully and thoughtfully." Figo's statement contradicts claims from Ittihad president Mansour Al-Balwi that the former Portugal captain was on his way to Jeddah. The-34-year-old Figo did, however, confirm he was leaving Inter Milan.
Figo's Inter days are coming to an end "My top level career will end in Italy," said the ex-Real Madrid midfielder. "That was my intention when I arrived in Italy two years ago." Figo, who joined the Nerazzurri in August 2005, said he currently had one objective, to win the Serie A with Inter and then quit top-level football. "I stayed in Italy until the end of the season to win the championship and quit top level football at the level I decided. That's why I didn't leave in January," he said.
