Nagoya-Ahmed Abd-Rabou: Ahli playmaker Mohamed Abou-Treika has claimed himself fit for the FIFA Club World Cup opener against Auckland City FC on Sunday. Abou-Treika sustained a calf injury during training on Tuesday and was declared doubtful for Sunday's game. But Abou-Treika confirmed to FilGoal.com's correspondent in Nagoya that he will be ready to play against Auckland after undergoing an X-ray on his leg that proved he was injury-free. The 28-year-old took the field and trained with his Ahli teammates on Wednesday.
Shadi Mohamed being revived in the press conference FilGoal.com can also confirm that Ahli skipper Shadi Mohamed is in good health. Mohamed fainted during a news conference for Ahli's delegation early on Wednesday and had to be revived by teammate Essam Al-Hadari and coach Manuel Jose. The player had to be rested in for Ahli's exhibition game against third division side FC Kariya which the African champions won 2-1.
