Saudi giants Ittihad Jeddah have opened negotiations with Mexican club Guadalajara to sign international striker Omar Bravo, Al-Watan newspaper reported on Thursday. Ittihad have made a $650,000 offer to acquire the services of Bravo on a one-year contract, but Guadalajara are reluctant to sell the player at this price. The Saudi club will turn their attentions to Borussia Dortmund Ghanaian striker Matthew Amoah in case they fail to land Bravo, the paper added. The 26-year-old Bravo enjoyed a fine campaign with Mexico in the 2006 World Cup, netting two goals in his side's 3-1 victory over Iran in the group stage.
