World champions Brazil issued a warning note to competitors after thrashing New Zealand 4-0 on Sunday in their final warm-up for the World Cup. Ronaldo converted a low cross home in the 43rd minute and Adriano put Brazil two up eight minutes after the break with a venomous shot from the edge of the area. Both strikers looked inspired and ready for the World showpiece despite disappointing campaigns with Real Madrid and Inter Milan respectively. AC Milan playmaker Kaka stretched the lead four minutes from time when he raced past the New Zealand defense and drilled the ball past the advancing goalkeeper. Substitute midfielder and Lyon captain Juninho put the icing on the cake in the stoppage time with a cool finish from close range. Brazil are drawn in Group F that also includes Japan, Australia and Croatia.
