Libya captain Tarek Al-Taib said his team gave a good performance despite losing to Ivory Coast 2-1 in their African Cup of Nations Group A match on Tuesday. “We played very well compared to the first match against Egypt,” Al-Taib told ART Sports TV after the game. Ivory Coast's Yaya Toure scored the winner for his side late in the second-half after Abdelsalam Khamis cancelled out Didier Drogba's 10th minute initiative. “We nearly came out with a draw,” said the Gaziantepspor player. Libya bid the African Cup farewell after failing to bag a single point from their first two games. “I hope we prepare well for the next African Cup to make a better appearance,” the 27-year-old midfielder said.
