Zambia boss Kalusha Bwalya insisted that his players were intent on pleasing their fans and supporters and on giving good performances throughout their African Cup of Nations (ACN) campaign that kicks-off on Friday. “We have the ambition to come out of the African Cup with good results and to please the Zambian people, especially after the president met us during his busy schedule in Egypt,” Bwalya told Filgoal.com on Thursday. Zambia president Levy Mwanawasa met with the delegation on Wednesday and pushed them to come out with good results. “This will be the biggest African Cup in two decades, given the presence of the toughest teams in the continent. I would say 10 out of the 16 teams could be considered as favourites to clinch the cup,” he added. Asked about his side's chances in qualifying to round-two, Bwalya said: “ Group B team's chance are equal but I don't think it will be easy to grab a qualification ticket to the quarter-finals.” Bwalya also insisted the Egypt remain one of the biggest teams expected to grab the cup given the team's African experience and the massive support from the Egyptian people. On another hand, Guinea delegation are expected to arrive in Alexandria on Thursday to prepare for their first African Cup match against South Africa on Monday.
