Inter Milan winger Luis Figo has reportedly turned down a lucrative two-year deal to play in Qatar, Football Italia magazine reported on Friday. The Portuguese international rejected the chance to earn eight million Euros ($9.5 millions) per season after he finally settled in the Giuseppe Meazza. "Playing for Inter is an amazing experience. When I arrived I got such a warm welcome and Club President Massimo Moratti explained to me what it means to wear the Inter shirt," Figo said. Following his arrival at the Nerazzurri from Real Madrid in the summer of 2005, Figo found it hard to adjust the Italian style of play but his recent form was encouraging for coach Roberto Mancini to use him on a regular basis. The 33-year-old, whose contract runs out in 2008, scored three goals this season so far in the Serie A and UEFA Champions League. Inter are in second place in the league table on 38 points, eight points behind first-placed Juventus
