Egypt defender Beshir Al-Tabie has been ruled out of Egypt's squad preparing for the African Cup of Nations after abandoning the national team camp, coach Hassan Shehata said. “Al-Tabie packed and left the camp without a notice so we decided to rule him out of the national team squad,” Shehata told FilGoal.com on Wednesday. “We reported the incident to Egyptian FA chairman Samir Zaher who decided to suspend AL-Tabie indefinitely from the national duty.” Shehata said that a replacement won't be decided until he meets with his assisting staff and name a new defender to join the team. With Al-Tabie suspension, Egypt has now only Abdul-Zaher Al-Saqqa, Wael Gomaa and Ibrahim Said in the full-back spot. Egypt play in Group A alongside Libya, Morocco and World Cup side Ivory Coast. The tournament kicks-off on January 20th and ends on February 10th.
