Zamalek grabbed a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Sudan's Hilal in the CAF Champions League, thanks to a super strike from Mohamed Abdul-Shafi. The Egypt full-back was the one who set up the opening goal for Dominique da Silva to head in early on, but striker 'Kareka' levelled for Hilal. With nine minutes remaning, Abdul-Shafi volleys home a superb winner after a terrific piece of control. Zamalek become level on three points with Hilal and Vita Club of DR Congo, with Mazembe bottom on zero points. Congolese rivals Mazembe and Vita clash on Sunday.
