Ahli goalie Sherif Ekrami failed to train with the team for the second day in a row after picking up a calf injury, the Cairo club said. Egypt number one Ekrami has been struggling with a knee problem he sustained in the 6-1 drubbing in Ghana two weeks ago, only to suffer another muscle injury. Ahli said that the 30-year-old will have a scan on his calf this weekend but should be fit for the CAF Champions League final against Orlando Pirates on November 2. The Reds also said that Ekrami will have to miss Sunday's warm-up game against Dakhlia. Ekrami played a key role in helping holders Ahli reach the Champions League final, saving a penalty in the 7-6 shootout win over Coton Sport.
