Ismaili and ENPPI have been eliminated from the African Confederation Cup round of 16 with aggregate defeats to Bizertin and Saint George. Despite a winner from midfielder Ahmed Khairi, Ismaili failed to overturn their 3-0 first-leg trailing to Tunisia's Bizertin. In the other match, ENPPI came very close to a dramatic comeback thanks to a hat-trick from Ivorian striker Vincent Die Foneye. Die Foneye's goals gave ENPPI a 3-1 second-leg victory but their 2-0 loss in Addis Ababa meant that Saint George are through on the away-goal rule. Elsewhere, favorites Mazembe qualified for the group stage along with North African trio FUS Rabat (Morocco), Setif (Algeria) and Etoile Sahel (Tunisia). Tunisian champions Sfaxien were eliminated after being held 0-0 by Nigeria's Enugu Rangers, who qualified with their 1-0 first-leg victory. Group A: Saint George (Ethiopia), Stade Malien (Mali), Enugu Rangers (Nigeria), Etoile Sahel (Tunisia) Group B: Mazembe (DR Congo), Bizertin (Tunisia), Setif (Algeria), FUS Rabat (Morocco)
