Egypt earned qualification for the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup with a 1-0 victory over Algeria in the African Youth Championship. A first-half header from Ahli's up-and-coming defender Rami Rabiea won the game for the Pharaohs, who booked their place in the semi-final with their second Group A victory. Egypt automatically qualify for this year's World Cup finals, which takes place in Turkey this summer.
