Egypt manager Bob Bradley has named 18 players for next week's friendly against Qatar, including eight newcomers. The game, which is not included in FIFA's international match calendar, takes place in Doha on March 7 without Egypt's foreign-based players. As Bradley was forced to select his squad from the Egyptian Premier League, the American named eight players from Ahli. A list of uncapped players included four from Smouha in defender Mohamed Belal and midfielders Ahmed Hamoudi, Ibrahim Abdul-Khaleq and Tarek Hamed. Former Zamalek striker Hussein Hamdi was named from MCDR, while Wadi Degla trio Mohamed Abdul-Fattah, Ahmed Osama and Amr Marei completed the list of newcomers. Striker Marei is the league's joint top-scorer with three goals in five games so far.
