RIYADH - The Saudi Ministry of Interior called Wednesday on citizens travelling to Egypt not to carry more than LE5000. A statement issued earlier Wednesday by the Ministry said that Egyptian exchange law provides for the confiscation of any sums of money in cash over LE5000 in local currency carried by visitors during entry or exit of Egypt. The statement noted that visitors can transfer money through banks in order to avoid confiscation.
