The Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul Gheit headed on Wednesday to South Africa for a three-day visit where he will meet with senior officials. Abul Gheit told reporters in Cairo that he will head the Egyptian side in the meetings of the joint Egyptian - South Africa committee, which begins on Thursday. Abul Gheit added that the talks will focus on developments in the situation in Sudan, the Horn of Africa, an expanded Security Council membership as well as to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the framework of NEPAD. Egyptian Foreign Minister pointed out that the two sides will sign a number of joint cooperation agreements in various fields.
