The Gazette report said: The indictment against the third group of members of the el- Ikhwan el-Muslimeen (Muslim Brotherhood) known as the 'Aly Ashmawy case' was announced yesterday by Maitre Salah Nassar, Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme State Security Court. The Egyptian Gazette of April 15, 1966 reported another sensational testimony by yet a third Ikhwan secret organisation leader, Ahmed Abdulmeguid Abdulsamei. As the court continued to hear the Sayyed Kotb case, The Egyptian Gazette kept abreast of the strem of sensational testimonies by leading members of the secret organisation of the Muslim Brotherhood. On April 16, 1966, the paper published a report headlined: Ikhwan leaders admit murder, sabotage designs The next day (April 17), it published a fresh report headlined: Ikhwan members disclose their secret plans On April 18, The Egyptian Gazette reported the testimony given by accused Youssef Hawash.
