SANAA - Yemen agreed with northern Shi'ite rebels on Thursday to end a war that has raged on and off since 2004 and drawn in neighbouring Saudi Arabia, and a truce was to begin at midnight, a Yemeni official said. "The ceasefire is going to be in effect at 12 midnight," the official told Reuters. The government and rebels have been exchanging proposals in recent days to end the conflict in north Yemen, one of three the Sanaa government is fighting on its territory.
