RAMALLAH – Egypt's envoy to Palestine urged on Monday Egyptians to promptly register in the website of the Higher Elections Commission (HEC) in order to vote in the parliamentary elections, which will be held later this month, the official Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported. Egyptian expats holding national IDs issued before September 27 are required to reigster. "Registration continues until November 19," Ambassador Yasser Othman was quoted by the MENA as saying, explaining that this measure allows Egyptians abroad to participate in the elections,a process unprecedented in local elections. He added that the Egyptian Embassy will be offering facilities in this regard and will keep expatriates updated with developments on the elections.
