Egypt's ex-PM's detention extended

CAIRO - The Southern Giza Prosecutor extended the preventive detention of former prime minister Ahmed Nazif for 45 days, pending further investigations.
Nazif is accused of abusing his position of power to amass ill-gotten gains.
Investigative reports have revealed that Nazif owned real estate property and possessed large sums of money, far exceeding the income from his post.
