CAIRO – Egypt's Minister of Tourism Munir Fakhri Abdul Nour flew on Sunday to Paris to participate in the World Tourism Fair 'Top Reza'. Abdul Nour told the official Middle East News Agency (MENA) ahead of his departure that the fair is considered one of the most important fairs for French tourist professionals held in France. He dded that Egypt would launch during the fair its first campaigns for tourism promotion in the new season. "The campaign, known as 'Thousand smiles', is well-organised to meet French market needs", said Abul Nour. The Egyptian official elaborated that about 12 French tour agents are participating in the campaign with a view to luring French tourists to Egypt. Abdul Nour expects that such efforts will bear fruit in an increasing number of French tourists to Egypt in the upcoming period. The minister plans, during his four-day visit, to meet French tourist agents and organisers, in addition to French media. Abdul Nour is accompanied by a number of senior officials at the ministry. Public and private tourist companies, representing 80 countries, are taking part in the fair.
