CAIRO - The security situation is stable in Sinai Peninsula and security bodies are taking all necessary measures to maintain the security in coastal cities, South Sinai Governor Major General Khaled Fouda said. In statements to the official Egyptian TV, Fouda said that police and border guards are controlling all Sinai cities. "Egyptian army and security bodies are monitoring what is taking place on borders and are taking all necessary measure to protect coastal cities," he said. The recent attack on a security post in the Sinai had no grave impacts on tourism in Sinai, Fouda said, citing high occupancy rates in Sinai hotels.
