CAIRO – According to AP, the martyrs families were angry over the ban on broadcasting live the trial of the ousted Hosni Mubarak and his two sons Alaa and Gamal, Al-Youm Al-Sabea reported on Tuesday. Mubarak and the other defendants have appeared on the State TV twice during the trial. The families reaction to the ban is mixed with fear that Mubarak may escape punishment. Ahmed Refaat, the judge trying Mubarak, has decided on Monday during the second session of the trial to prevent further broadcast starting the next session for public interest. The trial was adjourned to September 5 and was merged with that of Egypt's former interior minister Habib el-Adli and six of his deputies in the same case. Some of the attendees on Monday have caused chaos and disorder which interrupted the trial more than once. According to AP, people are divided over this decision. "This decision is not right, how can I be sure that justice is maintained", Ahmed Ramadan, one of martyrs relatives, has been quoted by AP as saying. Meanwhile, AP has stated that the decision was satisfactory to more than 100 of lawyers who applauded as soon as the judge announced the ban. One of the lawyers commented that this decision will enable serious attorneys to concentrate and would prevent some lawyers from showing off in front of the camera to get media attention.
