CAIRO - Egypt will regain its composure and retain its economic and political strength regionally and internationally, said Foreign Minister Mohamed Kamal Amr on Sunday. Egyptian Foreign Ministry Speaker Menha Bakhom told the press that Amr's affirmation came during his meeting with EU Representative to the Southern Mediterranean Bernardino Leon. Amr lauded the EU concern towards supporting Egypt on economic and political levels, saying that reflecting such sentiments during such turbulent period in Egypt's history was an indication of how strong the relations were between Egypt and the EU. The February 25th revolution had reflected Egypt's eagerness to develop into a modern state where democracy plays an integral part in development, said Amr, adding that his country welcomed any type of support that would help Egypt develop. Leon held talks in another meeting with Egyptian Interior Minister Mansour Issawi where they discussed the current situation in Egypt and means to bolster relations between Egypt and the EU.
