CAIRO – The Youth of Revolution Coalition has said the aims of the January 25 revolution will not be achieved without the youth's struggle, the official Middle East News Agency reported on Sunday. Activists, who participated in a symposium within the proceeds of a "Book Fair" held in Cairo Saturday night, expressed their optimism towards the future. "There would be hope for the future after Mubarak's trial which proved that no one is above the law ," Israa Abdel-Fattah, an activist and one of the revolutionaries, said. Regarding the upcoming period, Abdel Fattah added that any transitional period has its ups and downs." "It's a critical phase which we should exceed to hold fair elections for the first time. Abdel Fattah said revolutionaries would run for the upcoming Parliamentary elections and people will choose their suitable representative. Shadi el-Ghazali Harab, another prominent activist and one of the young revolutionaries, said that the aim of trying Mubarak is to set an example for any future president. Harb considers purging Egypt of corruption the responsibility of each and every citizen. "We are eyeing stability which will be achieved by building a state on the basis of the Constitution and fair elections," he added. Khaled Teleima, a third activist, commented that insecurity and price hiking are not the product of the revolution. "Without struggle, the revolution will never achieve its goals," he concluded.
