CAIRO - Egypt's Foreign Minister Mohamed Kamel Amr Wednesday condemned Israel's continued settlement policy, after the Jewish State launched a bid to build 336 new settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories. "These settlement plans show that Israel intends to ignore the possibility of a peaceful solution to their problem with the Palestinians," Amr told reporters. He added that all settlements built in the West Bank and East Jerusalem were illegal, according to international law. "Israel's bid to impose a status quo in the Palestinian territories will not succeed," Amr stressed.
