TALLINN - Elene Gedevanishvili won Georgia's first major figure skating medal on Saturday after an unusual training session -- with her country's president, Mikheil Saakashvili. Saakashvili was on a visit to the Estonian capital and popped in to watch the European championships, getting in the mood for the competition by having a skate-around with Gedevanishvili before she won the women's bronze medal. "Before the short program, the Georgian president called me and we skated on the outdoor ice rink in the old town (in Tallinn)," she told reporters. "He is a pretty good skater." The 20-year-old was fourth after Friday's short program but a solid free skate, judged the second best of the day, allowed her to sneak on to the podium alongside champion Carolina Kostner of Italy and second-placed Finn Laura Lepisto.
