CAIRO – Abla Fawzi Salama, the wife of former parliamentarian and National Democratic Party figure Ahmed Ezz, was prevented on Monday from travelling to Lebanon, the official Middle East News Agency reported. Cairo Airport authorities banned her from flying to Beirut as Egypt's Illicit Gains Authority (IGA), affiliated to Ministry of Justice, had black-listed her. Ezz has been detained pending investigations on charges of amassing his wealth illegally as well as power abuse. Salama has been summoned by the IGA for questioning but she was released after presenting documents, evidencing her legal fortune.
