CAIRO - Mohamed Hussein Tantawi, the head of the ruling Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, was Sunday briefed on the health of Pope Shenouda III, the head of the Coptic Orthodox Church, who is undergoing medical tests in Washington. Tantawi, via the Egyptian Embassy in Washington, wished Shenouda a speedy recovery, the official Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported. It added that Egypt's military attaché in the Embassy has visited the Pontiff in the Cleveland Clinic, where he is having the treatment. Pope Shenouda is 88 years old. He always travels to the US for his medical checkups.
