CAIRO - Two teams of senior officials from the Palestinian factions Fatah and Hamas will hold their maiden talks in Cairo on Saturday on mplementing an Egyptian-brokered reconciliation pact signed last week, a Palestinian official said. "The meeting will focus on forming a new Palestinian government as some other committees are scheduled to be formed in the meeting," the official told the German press agency (dpa) on condition of anonymity. He added that an Arab panel, including Egypt, Qatar and some other Arab countries, would follow up the implementation of the reconciliation, which will take effect gradually. The officials revealed that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas of Fatah would not visit Gaza Strip until a new government was formed.
