CAIRO - The Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, which took over after the toppling of Hosni Mubarak, will announce this week a new bill on political rights, followed by two other laws on the two houses of the Egyptian Parliament, a members of the council said. "The Political Rights Law will be announced this week, to be followed by two other laws on the Shura Council and the People's Assembly, as well as a third on presidential elections," Mamdouh Shahin, an army general, was quoted by the Middle East News Agency (MENA) as saying. He added that the law will make it easier for Egyptians to participate in political life and decision-making in their country.
