CAIRO - A military tribunal Monday sentenced five defendants, charged with abducting a 12-year-old daughter of Effat el-Sadat, a nephew of late President Anwar el-Sadat, to life imprisonment, a legal source said. "Five of the defendants got life imprisonment as the sixth was sentenced to 15 years in jail and the arms were seized," the source added. The convicts, most of them are unemployed, kidnapped Zeina el-Sadat a week ago and asked her father to pay LE2 million in ransom. He paid the ransom, which was returned and the defendants arrested in less than 48 hours.
