CAIRO (Update 1) - A grandniece of Anwar Sadat, the late Egyptian president, was returned home safely after being abducted by unknown assailants, her great-uncle said. Zeina Sadat, 14 was riding in a car to school in the Heliopolis neighborhood Sunday when she was abducted by at least two men who beat up her driver, her great-uncle, Zein Sadat, told CNN Monday, less than a day after her disappearance. The kidnappers had contacted the girl's father and demanded about $840,000 for her return, CNN reported. There was no mention if the ransom was paid."Zeina has come back to home," Zein Sadat said. He denied suggestions that the kidnapping was politically motivated. Anwar Sadat was assassinated in 1981.
