CAIRO - Egypt's benchmark index .EGX30 snapped a four-day losing streak on Sunday and rose 5 per cent, the third day of trade since political turmoil closed the bourse for more than seven weeks. Index heavyweights Orascom Telecom (ORTE.CA: Quote) and Orascom Construction (OCIC.CA: Quote) jumped 9 per cent and 10 per cent respectively. Shares in Commercial International Bank (COMI.CA: Quote), Egypt's biggest listed lender, surged 8.2 per cent. The main index posted on Sunday its first gain since mass protests demanding the ouster of President Hosni Mubarak erupted on Jan. 25. The broad index also rose 6.6 per cent.
