SHARM EL-SHEIKH - Ousted President Hosni Mubarak and his family are under the Army's close watch in his residence in the resort town of Sharm el-Sheikh, a senior official has said. “Mubarak and his family are living in a private residence in Sharm el-Sheikh Golf Resort and they do not use any official sites,” added the official who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorised to speak to the media. He added that there were no private or official aircraft, previously used by the former first family, at Sharm el-Sheikh Airport, in a sign of denying them any chance to leave the country in compliance with a travel ban. Meanwhile, The Gazette has learnt that the Navy unit responsible for guarding Mubaraks' residence has intensified its patrol.
