CAIRO - The Central Auditing Agency (CAA), a State-backed watchdog that used to report to former President Hosni Mubarak, will submit two reports to the Chief Prosecutor on corrupt and gross violations by some former ministers despite threats, its head said. "The CAA will submit today three reports on violations committed by former ministers of investment and trade and industry to Chief Prosecutor Abdel Meguid Mahmoud," added Gawdat el-Malt, the head of the influential watchdog. He said that his agency would continue to provide the prosecution with new reports of corruption. "All such reports were submitted to the President and the Parliament, but no measures were taken against them," el-Malt, a former judge, was quoted by the official Middle East News Agency (MENA) as saying. He pointed out that he had received several threats to kill him once the reports reach the prosecutors, from whom he received an official request to provide for help on crackdown on corruption.
