CAIRO - The Tahrir Revolution, a movie about the January 25 revolt, is currently being shot. “I'm delighted by this revolt and its success in forcing the regime to go and ending its corruption,” says actor Ahmed Abdel-Aziz, starring in the film. “The movie will focus on what really happened right up until the President's resignation and then the Egyptians' delight afterwards.” The Tahrir Revolution, which will also be starring actresses Noha el-Amrousi and Mona Hala and is being directed by Magdi Mohamed Ali, will also depict the young people cleaning the streets, as well as probing the young Egyptians' ideas about their present and future, and their hopes for a better Egypt. Abdel-Aziz plays the role of a real-life Egyptian, Dr Tareq Helmi, the well-known heart surgeon, who with his family participated in the revolt, despite the fact that he was very busy. He was in Al-Tahrir Square, treating people who were seriously injured in the clashes between pro- and anti-Mubarak demonstrators on February 2.
