ALEXANDRIA - The Research and Press Unit of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina will hold two comprehensive Arabic calligraphy courses for beginners and experienced persons as of January 3, a senior official said. Khalid Azzab added that the month-long courses had been designed to improve the trainees' skills in drawing and writing in Kuffi-Fatimid letter sets and fonts, which are extensively used in the Holy Qur'an. The classes, which accept graduate and undergraduate university students, are held on Mondays and Thursdays at the main conference room of the Library, said Azzab.
