CAIRO - Local authorities across Egypt have finalised their preparations for celebrating the Muslim feast Eid al-Adha, which begins on Tuesday. A large number of open places have been designated for Eid prayers, which are scheduled for 6.46am on Tuesday. Meanwhile, veterinary departments have said they will intensify their campaigns to stop the sacrificial slaughtering on streets. Public parks and gardens have been spruced up to receive Eid celebrants.
