CAIRO - Muslims will celebrate the feast of Eid al-Adha, which marks the end of the annual haj pilgrimage, on November 16. All Government offices and banks and private sector companies as well as schools and universities in Egypt will be closed for five days as of Monday, November 15, Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif has decreed. All Government employees, pupils and students will be back to their schools and universities on Saturday, November 20. According to another decree by the Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), the Stock Exchange will be closed as of Monday, November 15 until Wednesday, November 17. The Stock Exchange will be back for business on Thursday, November 18. On this occasion, The Egyptian Gazette and its weekly edition, the Egyptian Mail, wish their readers a Very Happy Eid el-Adha. The Gazette will not appear on Wednesday and Thursday, November 17 and 18. It will reappear on Friday, November 19, as usual.
