CAF fines Esperance $50000 for Cairo Stadium riots

Tunisian club Esperance have been fined US$65,000 by Confederation of African Football (CAF) due to violence by their fans in recent continental matches.
Esperance were fined $50,000 for the violence during their clash with Al Ahly of Egypt in Cairo last month.
The aggressive behaviour of their players during the first leg of the final of the Champions League resulted in a $15,000 fine.
Africa's governing body also ruled that Esperance must pay $52,000 worth of damage their fans caused to the Cairo Stadium last month.
Algeria side JS Kabylie were penalised $20,000 and will play their next continental home game behind closed doors after their fans threw missiles onto the pitch during their Champions League match against TP Mazembe in Tizi Ouzou last month.
The Malagasy Football Federation was fined $10,000 for a similar offence during Madagascar's Nations Cup qualifier against Ethiopia in Antananarivo last month.
Central African Republic were also fined $10,000 after their fans invaded the pitch during the Nations Cup qualifier against Algeria in Bangui last month.
Esperance received the heaviest fines after their fans ripped out stadium seats and lit fireworks during the first leg of their Champions League semi-final against Ahly.
Eleven policemen were injured and at least 14 Tunisians fans arrested during the 3 October game in Cairo, which Al Ahly won 2-1.
