Hassan, Geddo nominated for CAF awards

CAIRO - Egypt duo Ahmed Hassan and Geddo were both named in the shortlist for Africa's 2010 Player of the Year Award.
African football governing body CAF announced ten names for the gong, including world-class frontrunners Samuel Eto'o and Didier Drogba.
Ghana trio Asamoah Gyan, Kevin-Prince Boateng and Andre Ayew joined in after an impressive World Cup campaign for the Black Stars.
Hassan and Geddo were also named among five contenders for the African-based Player of the Year Award.
The Ahli pair will vie with Esperance duo Oussama Darragi and Michael Eneramo, as Mazembe's Alain Dioko completes the list.
Egypt captain Hassan excelled in the Pharaohs 2010 Africa Cup of Nations triumph, winning the best player award in Angola.
Supersub Geddo won the Discovery of the Tournament award after scoring five goals to help the African champions retain their title.
