CAIRO - The Muslim Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of the holy fasting month of Ramadan, will start in Egypt on Friday, religious authorities said Friday evening. Darul Ifta, which is responsible for issuing religious edicats, added in a statement that Thursday would be the last day of the lunar month of Ramadan. Egypt starts Ramadan, one of the holiest months in the Islamic calendar, on August 11.
