NEW DELHI - A documentary titled "From Pyramids to Taj Mahal" throwing light on Indo-Egyptian ties based on the experience of 38 blind female musicians who recently travelled to India, has been released. The film also narrates the current friendly ties binding the two countries under President Hosni Mubarak (pictured above to the right) and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh (L), Egypt's Ambassador to India Mohamed Hegazi said. Directed by Indian filmmaker R Singh, "From Pyramids to Taj Mahal" narrates political life in both Egypt and India starting from Egyptian and Indian leaders Saad Zaghloul and Mahatma Gandhi respectively. "The film on Egyptian-Indian relations was released at a film festival in New Delhi," Hegazi said. The film is inspired by Egyptian el-Nour Wal Amal (Light & Hope) orchestra comprising 38 blind female musicians who toured India lately, he added.
