CAIRO- Tunisia has agreed to release 15 Egyptian fishermen detained earlier this month for illegally trawling in its territorial waters, said an official in the Egyptian Foreign Ministry on Tuesday. Egypt's Assistant Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs Mahmoud Abdel Hakem said that the Tunisian authorities had also agreed to release the fishermen's boat after slashing by 90 per cent the fine imposed on the craft. The official added that the fishermen and their boat had left Tunisia for home on Tuesday.
