TUNIS, Oct 10 , 2018 (MENA) - Egypt together with Lebanon, Gambia and Swaziland reviewed, during the Africa-Arab forum here, what they achieved so far as regards the implementation of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction. Mohamed Hassan, executive director of crises and disasters administration at the Egyptian cabinet, explained measures and steps taken by Egypt to put into effect the Sendai Framework, including the establishment of the National Committee for Crisis and Disaster Administration. He also talked about steps taken by Egypt to link the country's efforts to reduce disaster risks to the 2030 National Strategy for Sustainable Development. All countries should present every two years an assessment of their efforts to implement the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction.
