NEW YORK, Sept 27, 2018 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi probed with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu means of reviving the Middle East peace process, Presidency Spokesman Bassam Radi said. During a meeting between the two sides at Sisi's residence in New York on the fringe of the United Nations General Assembly meeting, the president affirmed the importance of the resumption of Palestinian-Israeli negotiations to reach a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue based on international legitimacy and terms of reference, Radi also said. According to Radi, Sisi noted that reaching a final settlement to the Palestinian issue will contribute to creating a new reality on the ground in the Middle East region and bring about stability, security and prosperity to all its peoples. Meanwhile, Netanyahu expressed appreciation of the important role played by Egypt in the Middle East, praising its efforts to fight terrorism and consolidate regional peace and stability, the spokesman added.
