CAIRO, Sept 19 , 2018(MENA) - Minister of Social Solidarity Ghada Wali conferred on Wednesday with Australian Ambassador in Cairo Neil Hawkins on means of boosting joint cooperation in the fields of development, social care and exchange of expertise. During the meeting, Wali reviewed efforts exerted by her ministry to achieve a social protection umbrella for the categories most I need, citing the model of "Takaful and Karama" programme which aims at alleviating the burdens of low income strata. She also briefed the Australian envoy on the projects sponsored by the ministry to provide social care for the poor and most needy families under the slogan of "Two is enough" to work on curbing the population growth. During the meeting, the two sides agreed on starting the implementation of several joint projects in the field of women empowerment and improving their living conditions. The Australian ambassador praised the efforts of the Social Solidarity Ministry in providing services to various social categories.
